Administrative Scripting and Custom Action Workshop

Administrative Scripting and Custom Action Workshop trains
administrators on how to write VBS Scripts to manage packages
installed on corporate computers and to write VBScript for Custom
Actions. The workshop gives students relevant theory, lots of
practical hands-on (using Wise Package Studio or InstallShield
AdminStudio) and many utility scripts and code samples. Students
will use (and take home) a customized editor that includes syntax
highlighting, code completion and code snippets specifically for using
VBScript in custom actions and administrative scripting.

Day 1: SC 150 VBScript Essentials
Day 2: SC 305 Administrative Scripting for Windows Installer
Day 3: SC 310 Windows Installer Custom Actions
Day 3/4: SC 315 VBScript Custom Actions
Day 4: SC 475 VBScript Deferred and System Context Custom Actions
Day 5: SC 112 Virtual Machines for Packaging
