Don't know what I did to my DCOM dll, but when I register it with regsvr32,
it doesn't work and I receive the code error 0x80070715 from
DllRegisterServer...

I searched for the error in MSDN, no topics... Please help me..

Simon,

Error Lookup reports that this error message means "The specified resource
type cannot be found in the image file. "

This is just a guess, but did you write this DLL using MFC? If so I'd run
Depends on the DLL on the target machine and make sure that the correct
version of MFC42.DLL (or whatever) is installed.

I've had a very similar problem myself in the past and that was the problem.

HTH,
James

No I didn't use MFC. I compared my dll dependency with an old one (that
register correctly). All depends dll are the same. Taking a look at changes
that have been done to files of my project doesn't sound any problem in my
head.

Any other idea?

Finally, I found the problem. My .RC changed. DllRegisterServer load the dll
that you are trying to register. After, It try to load resource. This is why
I obtained "The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file. "

Another thing... your MSDEV CD contains the project of ATL.dll. This is
useful when you want to debug in it.
