Trying to install Asp Ver.2.0.50727 Error:0x8007000b Windows7

I have Windows7 Prof which came with my new laptop. i have VS2008 and i am
trying to install mapping for asp.net ver. 2.0.50727 by going to command
prompt and typing c:\.aspnet_regiis.exe -i , A error shows in command
prompted as occured 0x80004005 Unspecified error and 2 error pops up
throwing an error: 0x8007000b .I have check for windows updates and they r
no updates. Kindly Help me.

Hi Surekha,
I don't know if you are still experimenting this issue. Any way, it was
happening to me also.
To properly install ASP.NET on Win 7, you must check the option "ASP.NET" in
Control Panel->Programs->Turn Windows features on or off->Internet
Information Services->World Wide Web Services.
I don't know why aspnet_regiis doesn't work.
