I have XP SP2 and have uninstalled Norton Internet Security completely.
Upgraded to Microsofts new Windows Defender also used Windows Live Safty
Centre, no bugs. Also use Ad Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy and no bugs
there either. I have restated computer several times but still OE starts to
open then the old " OE has encounted a problem and needs to close, AppName:
msimn.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180. ModName: mlang.dll " I use Office Outlook in
another account and have no problems. I did use both OE and Outlook in
another account and they both worked well untill recently. Please can you
advise on how to get OE up and running again.
Many thanks in advance.....Gee Gee.

Go to Control Panel | Programs and set Program Access and Defaults and set
OE as default. Then in OE set up a new Identity via File | Identities and
see if it works okay then.

Thanks Steve for your suggestion, I had tried setting OE as the default but
could not enter OE to make any other adjustments......... Good news though, I
received an MS auto Update (KB 905474) this morning and all is well again...
PS. Thanks to everyone that uses this great site, and keep on posting... Gee
Gee.
