auto-email a document?

I have some services that run at night and create a log. Is there a
way to get that auto-emailed to me? Either through OE or Outlook.
Maybe some command line email agent? Or a Word doc with a macro that
runs on opening that calls to the mail program, or...?

Not something you could do within Outlook Express. Although you could
automate a message creation with Outlook Express, it would stop at the
message composition window waiting for you to press the Send button.

Additionally, the message automation doesn't support attachments.

There are some freeware/shareware SMTP command line mailers that might
work for you. These talk directly to your mail service SMTP server
bypassing your mail client. For some suggestions, see:
