Hello Everyone,

I was recently called upon to monitor a colleagues email whilst he was away
on leave. Upon his return I forwarded a dozen or so messages and since then
he has been bombarded with Delivery Status Notification Failure messages as
follows:

[The following message to <RichardWilliams> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.1 - Bad destination email address 'invalid domain "": no dot found']

At the last session count there must have been around 400 of these incoming,
what a nightmare.

Can anyone pinpoint a reason for this and if so is it fixable?

Many Thanks

RW

Is this an Outlook Express problem?
You are posting with Windows Mail.

Where you monitoring a pop account?
How where you monitoring the account?
Why does it say 'message to <RichardWilliams>'? It should be from.

The errors are coming from the server, not the Mail Client.

Are the messages he received while he was away still on the mail server?

Is he being bombarded with these Failure messages or are you?

How did you Forward the messages to him? Did you send the forwards to the
correct address (type in the address manually)?

The should be no spaces in the address (e.g., sam_...@isp.com, not sam
jo...@isp.com) and the address should not be sam_jones@isp (i.e., no
".com").

The reason for the error is that you have passed any(Destination EmailAddress) string variable under quote which should not be!
