time tracking with Journal

I use outlook's journal to track time for projects I work on. Does anyone
know of a way to tally up the time at the end of the month from all journal
entries for that month?

For example:

If I had three journal entries for January:
1/3 1 hour
1/5 5 hours
1/15 8 hours

Is there any way to add up the time I spent in Outlook or with an add-on?

The first thing off the top of my head would be to create a table view of
the journal then export it to an Excel spreadsheet where you can add
formulas, etc.
