I am tearing my hair out as it doesn't seem to be able to file over the
original contact template. Am I doing something wrong??? I create the form
using 'design', then I do a 'save as' and path down to where I believe the
templates are (actually I have tried numerous different areas, such as
templates for Microsoft, application data via forms and so on....
I thought of creating a button on the toolbar that will pick up the form (if
there is no other means) but my Visual Basic knowledge is pretty grim.
Surely there must be a way???
Thanks in advance
Linda
Create your form using 'Design Form' and save it.
There's a little command that you would probably ignore called 'Publish'
because it makes you immediately assume it means 'to the web'. It isn't.
Once you've published it, it is available to the Outlook standard templates.
To make this the standard template: right-click on the appropriate icon on
the left of screen (Contacts for instance). Then click on Properties.
If you look at the window half way down, you will see 'contacts'. Click on
the down arrow and you will find the name of the new form that you've just
created. Click on this. This is the new default.
This system should work for all the other icons.
God, I dunnarf love you, Linda
