I have a Win98 box with Office 97. I want to upgrade to Office 2000.

Should I first un-install Office 97?

Is there an issue with IE?
I have IE5, and I'm not sure if I should also uninstall that, before
installing Office 2000?

It is best to remove office 97 but it is not necessary to remove IE before
installing office 2000.

Greetings --

The Office 2K installation routines will offer to remove earlier
versions of Office for you, so you really needn't take the extra step of
uninstalling Office 97 first, if you don't want to. There should be no
problem with your version if IE.

Depends. Is the 2000 disk an upgrade disk?

If it is you probably need it.
