Help: Cant load Outlook..get this message about MSVCRT40.DLL

I have been using Outlook Express for ages without any problem but now wish
to try Outlook and I get this message when I call the programme:-
OUTLOOK caused an invalid page fault in
module MSVCRT40.DLL at 015f:1021d456.
