I wish to switch from Outlook Express to Outlook 97 and despite having (I
thought) provided the necessary information I keep on receiving several
error messages e.g. Synchronisation failed, can't find Exchange Server etc.

Also, I don't know the difference between Internet Mail and Microsoft
Exchange Server. Should I choose one or have both in my profile? I have
lots of unanswered questions and should like to understand more about
setting up Outlook 97. Is there an FAQ that I can read or is there a
helpful MS page.

All help gratefully received...

Regards

Steve

You only need Exchange Server if that's your mail server. Chances are that
it isn't, that you connect to a normal Internet mail server.

I cover all the setup details in my Microsoft Outlook E-mail and Fax Guide
for OL97, now out of print, but available free online at
http://www.windowsitlibrary.com/Documents/Book.cfm?DocumentID=191.
