Am using Windows 2000 Pro with Outlook 2000 as my e-mail program. Everytime
I send an attachment to a recipient, they get the attachment as a winmail
file and can not open it up. I have sent .doc files and .jpeg files to no
avail. I was using Norton Anti-Virus 2001 and even uninstalled the program
and got the same problems. I have tried multiple IP through netzero, @home,
and hotpop as my accounts in Outlook 2000 and get the same results.

I have resorted to using my hotmail account through Outlook Express 5.0 to
send out my e-mail attachments. I have looked through the settings and am
completely puzzled.

Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Surf

Don't send to recipients in RTF format. Send in either HTML or Plain Text.
This is a known problem with sending mail in RTF format.

Patricia,
Thanks for the help, it worked. Made the setting change to Plain Text.
