Not sure that Hotmail allow POP access any more. You can however access it
via "HTTPmai" in OE5 (which is what you're using, according to your message
header).

When you select Tools - Accounts - Add - Mail, enter your Hotmail address
in the appropriate box and OE should recognise it and fill in the correct
server address for you on the next screen..

The following article may be of use:

How to Configure Outlook Express 5 to Use a HotMail Account
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q220/8/51.asp

If the HTTP option is not available, see if the following helps:

Cannot Create an HTTP or Hotmail Account in Outlook Express 5
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q241/8/41.asp

Incidentally, for future reference, Outlook (to which this newsgroup
relates) is a different program to Outlook Express, for which the following
newsgroup is more applicable:

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress

It can be found on msnews.microsoft.com if not on the server you normally
access.

HTH
