Is there a way to access my Hotmail account via Outlook, or to have Outlook
be the reader for my Hotmail email?

Thanks.

No; see http://www.slipstick.com/welcomefaq.htm#mail for more info and some
workarounds.

Outlook 98 does not support any form of HotMail workarounds, only Outlook
2000.

Check out <http://pop3hot.com> for a solution to receive and send
Hotmail with any POP3/SMTP-capable eMail app.

Is it possible to set up my Outlook Express -- rather than OL98 -- to be the
reader for my Hotmail account? If so, how do I set it up for my existing
Hotmail account?

I tried setting up a new account (Tools / Accounts / etc.), but it seemed
impossible to set it up with my existing Hotmail account. It kept trying to
force me to set up a NEW Hotmail account.

Thanks.

Accessing Hotmail via OLExpress works perfectly. The setup is easy. Just
don't overlook the "I already have an address..." option when setting up OLE
for an existing Hotmail account. ---- My apology for asking the question
in the first place.
