Split .Pst file for backup

I am trying to backup an Outlook.pst file. Is it possible
to split the file before writting to a cd? To create two
files from the original ? The file is over 800mb and I
cannot find a CD large enough to write to.

I have tried zipping the file but that still does not get
it down for the CD.

Bryan,

at first try to compress the PST file, maybe this will makes the PST file
smaller:

Click Inbox .
On the Tools menu, click Services
In the The following information services are set up in this profile box,
click Microsoft Exchange Server.
Click Properties, and then click the Advanced tab.
Click Offline Folder File Settings.
Click Compact Now

or create a new PST file and move/copy some folders into the new PST file.
