The "Company Yomi" & the "Given Yomi" are located in the Field selection
pop-up menus of the Advanced Find in Outlook 98.

What do the mean?

Regards,

No, I have an English build. The Advanced Find is related to Contacts
folder.

I always suspected it was a joke by one of the programmer's but they insist
it's a name field for a foreign language... an Asian one if I recall
correctly.

It is for Japanese. It is there in the Object Model even in English
language builds.

These are legitimate fields. I think they're related to Japanese names in
some way.

No idea what that field is and why it doesn't show up everywhere, but "yomi"
as in "yomi mas" is "to read" in Japanese?!?

Those fields (Yomi) are for Japanese and are present in all builds of
Outlook. They can be seen by setting the form to design mode and
choosing to display all fields. Don't worry about them if you aren't
using a Japanese language version.
