hotmail and outlook 2k2

is it my imagination or does the mail notification not work for hotmail/http
mail accounts? It's driving me insane!

Use MSN Messenger for Hotmail notification. HTML mail doesn't support
polling like POP3 mail (sort of...)

How does Outlook 2002 handle http mail? Will it place the mail seamlessly
in your inbox, or does it place a new set of folders like OE?

sadly it gets its own tree :( why cant all the mail go into the main inbox?

also i dont know how it checks http mail, maybe it uses some super
intelligent html scanning technique which finds the html for the username
and password boxes and just puts the info into there and them it can either
just display the mail page eg at yahoo mail or it can find your mail and
download it instantly somehow?! anyone got any more knowledge?
