I am using windows xp home sr3 and outlook 2003. A friend sent me an
attachment but, I can't open it. Outlook says to check security settings.
What settings do I need to change so I can open this attachment? Any help
is most appreciated. thanks,

It's highly unlikely that this has anything to do with settings. To
open an attachment, you need to have installed an appropriate program
for it--either the same program that created the file or one
compatible with it. It's highly likely that you don't have an
appropriate program to open it.
So what type of file is the attachment? Tell us its extension--the
last three or four characters in the file name, after the dot.

Here is the message I am getting:
Note: To protect against computer viruses, e-mail programs may prevent
sending or receiving certain types of file attachments. Check your e-mail
security settings to determine how attachments are handled.
