There's a much simpler solution, which unlike the methods mentioned in that
page, also restores all message status information (unread, read, replied,
etc.). The tool is called Aid4Mail and it can export your Thunderbird
messages directly into MS Outlook. No need to create EML files or use

Surely the easiest way is to use an IMAP account instead of POP so you
emails are on the server and you can access them from any client.
