Can't get Outlook98 to grab mail (set to 5 minutes)

Pretty much as the subject suggests. Have set outlook to check mail every 5
minutes but it only retrieves mail when the Send/Receive button is pressed.

This is Outlook98 with the Corporate Email installed.

Would very much appreciate responses by email.

Are you using the LAN connection type in the properties of the Internet
E-mail service?

Try using the LAN connection type. Polling only works over that connection
type (the LAN type will still work even if you use a modem)

Thanks for the help Vince.

I got it working by asking it to check Internet Explorer or 3rd part dialer
connections and Automatically Dial when checking for new messages.

BTW

The email was being checked properly before installing awfax.exe to restore
msfax into my 98 system.
