Following a link in a lower post, I went to the Slipstick site, and then
followed the links for the Outlook sample apps. I am trying to install the
"New Hire Info" app, just to see how it works.

I can open the form and have been able to send a test message using that
form. However, I'd like to set it up in a public folder. I create the
folder, then go to the folder properties and tell it to use that form when
posting to that folder. Outlook tells me "You cannot create an item of that
type in this folder." When I created the folder, I selected that it would
contain mail items.

Is there something I've missed? I'm trying to run this under OL98 (and
hopefully 2000 if I can get it working).

Thanks in advance.

Message forms can't be used as folder defaults. One workaround is to make a
post form the default, then put code in its Open event handler to launch
your custom message form. See
http://www.slipstick.com/dev/newdefaultform.htm.

Have you used the forms manager to copy the form design to the folder in
question?
