How to use the calendar in Outlook 2011 with an IMAP (Google Apps) account?

Hi,
I'm able to send/receive calendar requests, but don't see these invitations in the Calendar view. I understand IMAP doesn't have calendaring per say, but would like to ensure that invitations that are sent to me show on my Outlook calendar. I'm using Gmail (Google Apps) as my mail provider. Is this possible?
