I always encounter an "Enter Network Password" dialog box when clicking on
Send/Receive button. What is this and how can I get rid of it?

I recently switched ISP's from Roadrunner to SBC Yahoo! I did not have this
problem with RR but it appeared when I changed to SBC. SBC asks for Outgoing
Server Authentication and RR didn't. Could this be part of my problem? How
can I overcome?

The Dialog box appears filled in with the correct SBC Server, User Name and
Password information. I have to press OK several times as it disappears and
reappears repeatedly while my e-mails are being downloaded. I have several
e-mail address subaccounts.

I am running Outlook 2002 (10.6515.6626) SP3 on Windows XP Professional.

Thanks, in advance, for any help you can provide me.

HI Ray19,
have found this
The problem with the "Enter network password" popup is not so much that you
need to enter new data into them. The data is right there, even if you don't
check 'Save password' and you just hit Enter it will use the already saved
password (as long as you don't change it). You can also hit Cancel/Escape
and it will skip the account and do it the next time.
In Outlook 2000, the POP account check would time out in the same manner. If
you had the Send and Receive dialog hidden (it would only show in the status
bar of Outlook) and you would only notice an yellow exclamation mark now and
then in the same status bar. On the next automatic Send and Receive it would
most probably not time out and you would get the mail after all.

With Outlook XP this changed and was fixed eventually by an update. But in
Outlook 2003 the problem has returned.

Somehow Microsoft thinks it's very important that, even though you have your
Send and Receive dialog hidden that you receive a notice that Outlook is not
able to check the POP account. It looks like it will take another patch from
Microsoft to supress the Enter network password popup and have the error
showed in the status bar.

Maybe you have to change the send/receive time. Try to set it to 15Min (
automatically send/receive)
Maybe it solve your problem
