When downloading Live Messenger it gave the option of accessing my hotmail
via outlook use Outlook Connector. Great - its been a while since that was
supported, give it a go. Mostly it's fine, a bit behind the web-browser but
hey.
My slight nark is that when I get a pop-up from Live Messenger telling me I
have a new email it still goes to the web page rather than open ing the
emqail from Outlook. Is there a way of configuring this?

I did try the Contact Us menu item in Outlook Connector. No it didn't open
an email window with a pre-configured address - it opened a web page, asking
for my product and product id. I entered the Outlook Connector product id -
bUt it's not a not a recognised format aaaaaargh!

No, you can't use LM to go to Outlook. It's linked to the web site.
