I had been trying to connect to my hotmail free account from home pc, but it
constantly giving me error 0x800CCCF4 unknown error. After reading thru the
newsgroup, realized problem is with hotmail disable support.

But wierd enough, I tried to connect from my office outlook, its still
working fine...... whats wrong with it ???

Home and office pc using same version outlook 2002.

My hotmail acc is around 4 to 5 yrs old so shouldn't be affected....

Anyone can help me ??

Hotmail free account is no long accessible through Outlook. You must
upgrade to their pay service for that.

if the account is old and previously accessed via outlook, yes, you can.
otherwise, you'll need to pay for access using outlook or outlook express.

Ok, i've solved my problem.... i just click on "work offline" then back
"online" again...
silly method but it works...

maybe people who got the 0x800CCCFx unknown error can try this method...

Shirley - I am having the same problem and it just started in the past
few days. Like our friend Teo - I have an office PC that doesn't work
and a home PC that does - although his was the opposite.
