I have rights to two supervisors' calendars and it is my job to
accept/decline their appointments. I am only in the office 3 days a week and
have had issues with important meetings being missed that were arranged on
days that I am not in. I tried a regular OOO message informing anyone
needing to arrange an immediate meeting to contact another secretary to be
sure it is done. I'm unsure if they are getting the OOO message, considering
the email isn't sent directly to me, I receive it on behalf of my
supervisors. By either fault on my understanding the OOO, or the people
arranging the meetings not paying attention to the message, it is not getting
done and meetings are being missed. In the OOO rules, there is the option to
have mail that is recieved on behalf of my supervisors forwarded to who ever
I chose, at least, that's the way that I understand it to work. My question
is, is this really how it works? Any mail that I receive on behalf of
Supervisor A or Supervisor B can be sent to Secretary C so that she can
accept/decline the meeting?
