Hi All,

I have recently migrated from OE to Outlook 2003 SP2 and am running XP
Professional, all fully up to date patch wise.

I have created my signature in Outlook and included a jpg graphic. The
signature inserts perfectly into all my emails, however the other day in a
test I sent an email to myself. I notice the signature is present in the
email (I think the term is "embedded"?) which is great, but is also showing
as an attachment which is not what I am used to in OE. In my address book my
contact's outlook properties are set to "let outlook select the best".

I guess I have a setting incorrect but can somebody please point me in the
right direct?

Thanks in advance,

Bill

I think that it's normal to see the attachment icon for messages with an
image in the signature. At least, I've seen it.

Hi Brian,

That may be but (at the risk of being a pain) this was not the case in OE.
The signaturte was embedded and di not appear as an attachment, but many
thanks for the reply.

Cheers,

Bill

OE and Outlook features cannot be compared. Different target markets,
different programming groups.

Hi Brian,

I have found a way around my problem. If the image is saved as a .gif
instead of a .jpg the signature is embedded with no attachment - it simply
appears in the body of the email.

Many thanks for your interest and help

Cheers

Bill
