please post always your Outlook version.
In Outlook 2002/2003:
Under "Tools/E-mail Accounts"
In the E-mail Accounts dialog box, click to select
"View or change existing email accounts" and then click Next.
Next window: Doubleclick on the email account that you whant to change and
after the doubleclick you can change the name in the field "Name".
Confirm with OK, restart Outlook, thats all, but you only change the name
with this way not the email account.
