How do I get rid of a corrupted Hotmail folder in Outlook?

The hotmail account I wish to remove is in the folders list in Outlook. When
I click on it I get a message saying folders could not be opened. If I try
to delete the account in the normal way, it isn't in the list of email
accounts you can edit.

Have you tried right clicking on the folder and deleting it?

When I right click on it in the folder list, there is no option to delete it
