Using Outlook 2003 and XPsp2 and Outlook connector to bring in Hotmail
account. Outlook is used for 2 accounts, one at a university and Hotmail.

This worked initially with a @hotmail folder and a number of sub-folders.
In the last 2 weeks, the messages in the folders have progressively gone
blank. In each sub-folder, I get is a list of messages but each line is
missing the entries "from", "subject", but the "date" and nominal "size" 199
B are entered. When I click on a line, the window is empty.

I can access my hotmail messages in Opera without any problems, but recently
Firefox has a problem with Hotmail (which uses 100%cpu)

Any ideas?

Do you have a virus scanner installed which integrates itself with Outlook?
Uninstall this integration part of your virus scanner and try again; you'd
still be sufficiently protected by your on-access scanner part of the virus
scanner. For more details see;
http://www.msoutlook.info/question/20

After that, remove you Outlook Connector account from Outlook, restart
Outlook and then add the account again.

First question is... have you verified that you are using the latest Outlook
connector with Outlook 2003?

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9A2279B1-DF0A-46E1-AA93-7D4870871ECF&displaylang=en

I would also ask, is Office/Outlook 2003 up-to-date with the latest service
pack (which is SP3) and have all the critical security hotfixes?

I am having the same issue and have current versions of all things I am using. I am using Office 2003, this issue just started last thursday the only downloads available for my system are all optional. Am letting this run all night, have tried deleting and re-setting up, as well as disabling anti virus email scanner... although I don't see how something that has worked for three years would suddenly just quit working???

Outlook 2003 has been working fine for years, just now developing the same blank 199B emails. Perplexing. At least they're tiny files...

And what type of account do you use? Have you implemented the suggestions
already posted?
