Hi,

I updated to Office 2013 via a download from the Office 365 website under my account. Since then, whenever I try to create a task in outlook, I get the following message: The tasks folder cannot be found.

I will like to add that this problem is occurring for an IMAP account. For the local account, I can setup tasks fine. For some reason, the IMAP account cannot find the 'tasks' folder anymore after the update.

Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this error?

Thanks,
-John

I have this exact problem, did you find a solution?

I have Outlook 2013 with a Microsoft Exchange Account for work, and a gmail account for personal use. I can create a task from an email on the Exchange account, but trying to do the same with Gmail prompts the error message "The Tasks folder cannot be found."

Thanks,
Terry

Hi guys, same problem here. The only solution i found on a blog was to drag the email on the task icon in the navigation pane. This do the trick.
Hope this will help.
