If I receive an email with a link attached to it, a window pops up
indicating that my computer hasn't given permission to open it, yet I
don't know of any changes or settings that are different. I checked the
Outlook permissions and the administrator permissions and had my IT friend
at work try to figure it out and he couldn't It has happpened on my home
computer as well as my work ocmputer. I am running 2007 and XP on one
machine and 2007 and windows 7 on the other machine. I had someone tell
me there was an issue if you tried Google Chrome and decided not to use
it. I believe I did, but I have uninstalled it. Has anyone experienced
anything similar?

Might have been an idea to post the ENTIRE error message instead of a paraphrase of a bit of it.
If it's this one - "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." then I would say to you that Google still works - this is a very frequently asked and answered question and you would have found the answer instantly rather than having to wait for a response in this group.
