I read my hotmail via Outlook 2003. From time to time it requests a
password, but will not accept my password and keeps prompting for it. After
a day or so it will go back to normal and automatically use the password with
no problems.

Somebody suggested that this goes away if you pay the yearly subscription
fee to Microsoft for Hotmail. Is this true?

At home I am running Outlook Express 6.0 with exactly the same problem.

it's a passport bug - until they fix it, restart outlook when it happens.
