messages in Inbox are disappearing after reading

I have read the other post on this problem, I went to "View" and did as it
said. This did not fix my problem. My e-mails are disappearing, I read one,
go to a different folder, and the message in the inbox that I just read will
disappear. If I don't read it, it stays intact. Help....I'm going crazy.

What did you do under View?
When you're looking at the Inbox, does it say 'Filter applied' in the lower
left?
What is the Current View set to under View - Current View?
What version of Outlook?
