how do I combine multiple email messages in one document easily. If for
example I have a number of messages on an issue from many different sources
(say a project), it would be useful to be bale to put all the dialogue in one
chronoglogical document

Copy/paste? Or did you want something more involved?

I should have said perhaps 'automatically' by date order. I know that this
can be done to a certain extent in outlook express, but not very
successfully. I want an automatic operation where I can select a large number
of messages and ask for them to be combined in a single document without
having to copy and paste each one.

Outlook has no such feature.

Hello Peterkennedy,

You can create rules specifing outlook to transfer or divert all the e-
mails to a specific folder.

Try this out , its much helpfull.

Moving them all to a single folder does nothing to accomplish what the OP wants, which is a chronological copying of all email "contents" into one consolidated email message. This Outlook cannot do natively.
