Hi there
I have been (unsuccesfully) trying to create a banner (header) for my emails
(outlook 2003) but when I create stationary I can write directly on the
banner which is not very practical, does anyone know how I can create a
banner which workes as a header in a word document.

This depends how you created it. Make sure it's not inserted as a background
image.
