Import contacts in to OL?

Hi,

I was trying to import a list of contacts from a comma separated file into
Outlook 2002. All seemed to go well but when I try to add one of the
imported addresses into a new message it's blank, nothing but a period comes
over. Has anyone seen this before? It seems very odd to me.

When I open the contact in OL it shows the name and email address fields are
filled in and all looks fine. If I create a new contact by hand it does
work, just the imported ones don't.

I really need to get this feature working, any suggestions?
