Outlook 2007 Beta TR - RSS feeds from asp.net don't sync

This is an interesting Problem...

I am using Outlook 2007 Beta 2 with the TR. I recently added a bunch of RSS
feeds from the forums on forums.asp.net. When I hit send/receive I get an
error on some of the feeds. If I visit the URL for the feed IE, Outlook is
then able to sync the feeds and download new content on them.

Seems like it might be a name resolution problem or something...

Any ideas?

That feed worked fine here. Can you follow the steps outlined for RSS
feeds on my B2TR issues page and see what happens?

Thanks Patrick,

Looks like this fixed the problem. I guess I should have searched before
asking :)

Interesting though that I added these inparticular feeds (the ones I was
having problems with) after upgrading to B2TR, although I had no updated my
older feeds in this feature.

At any rate it looks like its working, thanks again!

Hi Patrick,

After reporting that the problem had been fixed by your suggestion, I'm
sorry to say that this morning when I booted up, I get the same errors on the
asp.net site RSS feeds :(

Any other ideas at all?

In \Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook
There is a file ending in sharing.xml.obi. If you close Outlook, delete
the file and reopen it, does that fix your problem?

I have several profiles, so I deleted this file for each profile and still
get the same error:

Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0xAD540155) : 'Synchronization to RSS
Feed:"http://forums.asp.net/rss.aspx?ForumID=164&Mode=0" has failed. Outlook
cannot download the RSS content from
http://forums.asp.net/rss.aspx?ForumID=164&Mode=0 because of a problem
connecting to the server.'

Repeat the steps you tried earlier from my website. But when you have
Outlook closed and all RSS feeds deleted, also delete all
sharing.xml.obi files.
Let us know if this will help you for longer than a few days.
