move full folders from outlook to free up space

I have completed some of my folders in my inbox, I would like to save them to
a different part of my computer to free up space in my outlook. Is this
possible? If so how?

Create a PST and move those folders to them. If you're trying to save space,
are you connecting to an Exchange server?
