"downloading Hierarchy" message displays at bottom right of Outloo

I have the "downloading Hierarchy" with the hour glass being displayed at
bottom right of the Outlook screen for several hours - more than 20! Can you
tell me what is this?

It's downloading your folder structure.
If you need sorting out the issue as well, then you'll have to provide more
details.
