Every time I open Outlook it the password box pops up and I have to enter my
password to get started. Once I do this, it does not ask for it again unless
I close out and reopen Outlook. I've gone into account info and entered
password and checked Remember Password block but that does not work.

Perfectly normal behavior for Outlook 2002/XP on Windows Vista. Of course
the versions you use was a just a total wild guess from my part since you
didn't include that information.
