how do i read mails from hotmail etc

I have been using outlook with my hotmail account. Since of late i recieve
messages in the inbox. but on trying to read the messages I cannot find the
text of the messages. The text of the email is blank and contains nothing
Even in the preview pane only the subject and from address is seen. When I
open the hotmail acct directly fromthe net Every thing is normal. the same
messages can be read.
Any suggestions to solve this problem.
