email with certain words in subject move to deleted items
folder and stop processing more rules.
However when the rule is moved to the deleted items folder
they are still marked as unread,
what do I need to do to move them to the deleted items
folder AND mark them as read.
Unfortunately the "new mail" icon on the task bar still
shows new mail even if it has been moved to the deleted
items folder, which is causing me to check the new email. I
would prefer to know only about valid email notifications
thanks
Geoff

looks like I am stuck with it "mark as read" does not appear
to be available.
Does permanentlt delete resolve this issue ? not sure I want
to do that as I still like to check that deleted items
before exiting outlook (set to delete "deleted folder" on
exit)
