it's pop and it used to be mail.EarthLink.com I think - but if you log into
you EarthLink account online, they have the instructions and server names.

It's a POP3 account.

Incoming server: pop.earthlink.net
Outgoing server: smtpauth.earthlink.net

Also, the outgoing (SMTP) server DOES require authentication. You must
enter your entire email address (including @earthlink.net) for the
username.
