Mysterious "phantom" email in outbox

Every time I do a Send & Receive, all emails that are "shown" in the Outbox
get sent, then the incoming emails are received, but then the "Send/Receive
Details" dialog box stays open, saying one email failed to send. But I cant
see or fine this "phantom" email. Does anyone know where it is hiding and
how I can get rid of it? I think it is somehow screwing things up.

PS: If theere are several things in my Outbox, can I make a Receive happen,
without the Send automatically preceeding or following the Received emails?
