Hyperlinks in outgoing messages

When I copy and paste a website into my emails it copies as a line of text
rather than automatically as a hyperlink that someone can click when it is
sent to them. I have to highlight the whole thing and hit ctrl+k in order to
turn it into a hyperlink.

Is there some way to automatically turn webpages into hyperlinks in my email
messages?
