Create this registry key :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
and have DWORD
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Window貞\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Hide胖esktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu\{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
not as 0.
Alternatively, use Powertoys/TweakUI.

For some reason, it worked without adding anything else to the registry.
Thanks for your help.

Upgrading from Outlook 2002 to 2003 removes the icon. There used to be a KB
article describing this and the fix posted by Mr. Bednarek, but I can't find
it any more.
