Create this registry key :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
and have DWORD
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Window貞\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Hide胖esktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu\{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
not as 0.

Alternatively, use Powertoys/TweakUI.

Thanks for the informtion. Do I modify the first registry key with DWORD?
Second, I am not sure if I am to add the registry key to your second
suggestion. If so, I do not understand the reference to not as 0. Please

Michael,

For some reason, it worked without adding anything else to the registry.
Thanks for your help.

Upgrading from Outlook 2002 to 2003 removes the icon. There used to be a KB
article describing this and the fix posted by Mr. Bednarek, but I can't find
it any more.
