Hello

I want to force the Reminder Window to Pop-Up. Currently, sometimes, it
only flashes the Taksbar; and sometimes it does pop-up. If I'm not paying
attention or stepped away, I don't notice the reminder window.

Thanks.

Was there ever a resolution for this? I'm having this exact problem, where
the Reminder Window doesn't actually pop-up, it only displayes on the
Taskbar, and it's not really noticable.

thanks,

I don't know of any fix. Microsoft, are you listening? Outlook reminders
used to pop up on top ... in 2003 (maybe even some of the earlier versions),
they do not. Some people found it annoying ... others, like myself, would
prefer they popped up on top. Can't you guys add an option to the reminders
that allows a user to specify whether they want the reminders to pop up on
top? I'm sure it can't be that difficult since that it how reminders used to
work. Please help, I'm late or miss appointments and stuff I want to do
because the reminders pop up innocuously. Please help ... PLEASE!

Certainly not in this newsgroup.

In general the window will pop up. It does get its focus stolen by some
addins (Plaxo is one) and some display drivers do that too. I know for one
of the machines in my lab the problem went away when I updated display
drivers.

Is there a way for the reminder widow to popup but not interrupt the typing
you're doing? I often times am writing and concentrating not on the screen
and when i look up what I think I've written isn't there because a reminder
window poped up and i run my computer with the sound off. I'd like to have
the popup show up without stopping my work. Any possibility of this? Thanks

With Outlook 2003, the Desktop Alert will not steal focus.

If the reminders window is becoming the window with focus then it will take
the keyboard input. If it doesn't come up and take focus it won't but then
people complain that it's not coming to the front. Both are incompatible
requests.

As Brian mentioned a desktop alert won't take focus but that's not what's
used for the reminders window.

D'oh. I must have been sleeping to have confused the reminder pop-up with
the Desktop Alert. That's for waking me up.
