inserting pictures in E-mail using outlook.

when I try to insert a picture into an E-mial I'm sending, the browser locks
up. It won't allow me to open a folder to get to any pictures that I've
saved. I can always go directly to "My Pictures" and open the folder(s) to
find the pictures ,but they won't attach to my E-mail. Any suggestions?
