Unless it's a paid account, you probably won't be able to. Even if it's a
paid account, unless you use the corret account type, it won't work and in
some versions of Outlook it's just not supported, but you've given so few
details God alone knows the problem.

Well that was a rude answer...thank you.

Anyway, my Hotmail is a paid account and I have been able to access it at
work every day for about 18 months. All of a sudden one day my password
doesn't work. I have not made any changes to my account. Thanks.

In what way? It was factual, nothing more.

How could anyone have known, since you decided to keep the fact secret when
you posted originally? Since you do pay for the account, your first line of
defense is to contact MSN support.

I already did that which is why I am contacting people on here. I hope you
don't have a job where you work in customer service. Yikes. If you have any
constructive help I would greatly appreciate, otherwise, thank you for you
time.

And what was the reason the people you pay to support you could not?

I have thousands of satisfied customers.

Hi - just to let you know - I experienced the same thing - I have used
Outlook for about 5 years to acess my 4 hotmail accounts. Suddenly about 10
days ago it just stopped working - it kept asking for the password and when
entered comes back as unable to access server. Like you I contacted MSN -
they told me - as usual - to remove all email accounts and re-enter - this I
did - no surprise - still the same problem - MSN then referred me to Office -
they informed me I have to pay for the support.
It is appalling - but I think that recent upgrades/patches on MSN/Hotmail
have made it incompatable with older Outlook versions ie XP and before.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/904942#appliesto

That may or may not apply because the original poster never bothered to give
any details.
